Frank Lloyd Wright's Barrel Chair is an iconic piece of seating, first designed in 1904 for the Martin House in Buffalo. Wright later refined the design in 1937 for the world-famous Herbert F. Johnson House ("Wingspread"). With its distinctive round shape, vertical wooden slats, and harmonious balance of tradition and modernity, the Barrel Chair exemplifies Wright's ability to seamlessly integrate furniture into his architectural visions.
The seat shell is generously shaped and offers maximum comfort thanks to the semicircular back panel. The Barrel Chair exudes robustness and elegance: a solid wooden structure meets the lightness of clean lines. A chair that exudes a powerful presence both as a standalone piece in the living room and at the dining table.
Crafted with high-quality craftsmanship and available in a variety of wood and upholstery finishes, the Frank Lloyd Wright Barrel Chair is a piece of furniture for lovers of true design – timeless, iconic, and unmistakable.
