The Pratfall armchair by Philippe Starck is a powerful design icon of the 1980s and is considered a sculptural extension of the famous Costes chair. Originally developed for the Parisian Café Costes, the Pratfall represents radical design with highly recognizable features.
The striking combination of a three-legged frame, a curved backrest made of fine wood, and a generous seat with leather upholstery is typical. Its geometric rigor is broken up by organic lines, giving the chair a minimalist, luxurious, and avant-garde appearance.
